A real family business

Way back in the late 90’s, armed with only a handful of tools, two eager sons, just enough knowledge and a huge amount of determination, Steve Ensor set about building his own furniture business supplying handmade pieces to local customers in and around Herefordshire.

Whilst quietly building a reputation for well made fitted furniture and gaining the experience of bespoke cabinet making, the decision was made to expand the business and take on the kitchen industry. Within the first year, Steve and his two sons, Alex and Russell realised that bespoke kitchen cabinet making was what they did best. A small showroom in Leominster was set up, a move to a bigger workshop and Steve’s wife, Ruth joining the team and RA Kitchens was born.

Things have changed a little over the last 20 years. Our kitchens are now found in homes all over the country, our work force has grown and now includes, among many of our skilled craftsmen, Jack, Steve and Ruth’s youngest son. One thing that still remains unchanged through the years is our passion for building beautiful kitchens and our commitment to provide every customer with a unique experience from start to finish.

We embrace this philosophy, completely. Our cabinets are carefully made to your specific needs and style. So whether it be raising the height of your kitchen units to save a bad back or adjusting the depth to fit perfectly around the family Aga. The final design of your kitchen evolves around you and your lifestyle. Every piece of cabinetry is carefully hand made and painted to a high standard in our Herefordshire workshop where our experienced craftsmen and finishers pride themselves on making sure every detail is finished to perfection.

You are always welcome to come in and meet our team and see your project underway at any point during construction. We also have a showroom where you can have a look at some of our beautiful pieces of furniture, browse our selection of colour samples and view our wide selection of granite, quartz and oak pieces.

Having a new kitchen fitted is the final and most exciting stage of the process. For some, it can also be a stressful time. We try to make the fitting of our kitchens as hassle free as possible. Our fitters are briefed on every project and are made aware of any special requirements requested by our designers or the customer. Full communication between our fitters, designers and customer is upheld throughout the project to ensure the best possible service. Our aim is 100% satisfaction.
